Setup of Limited Company
Once a decision has been made on the structure of the business and the name of the company, you can either contact London 1st to help you set-up the company or you can do direct on our website on the Online Company Formation page.
Appointment of Company Officers
It is a legal requirement for your company to have at least one director, and since April 2008, it is now optional to have a secretary.
Companies House needs to be notified of the appointment of Company officers - let London 1st take care of all the paperwork for you! If you require London 1st to take care of you Companies House statutory requirements we can do that at individual prices or as part of the Compliance Support Bundle.
Change of Company Name
If you wish to change a company name we can do this for you. London 1st will perform a search at Companies House to check if the name you choose does not already exist (you cannot have two companies with the same name). We will then register the change of name with Companies House and forward you a new certificate of incorporation.
Opening a Business Bank Account
London 1st will assist you in opening a Business bank account for your company with HSBC, a leading UK bank. London 1st will assist with the preparation and submission of the necessary application forms to the bank, and will complete the necessary follow up to ensure that your account is opened as soon as possible. Please note that you will be required to present yourself in person at the bank in order to prove your Identity. This is standard UK banking policy.
PAYE and Corporation Tax Registration
You will need to ensure that your company is appropriately registered for Corporation tax, and setup on a PAYE scheme with HM Revenue and Customs that suits its needs.
